Origin
This didn’t start with a silent frame. It started with a portrait that could talk: voice cloning, lip-syncing, memory… the whole spiel. I built it as a proof of concept, and it worked better than I thought it would.
And what stayed with me wasn’t the talking, but the moments in between — the presence.
So I shelved the talking version, and I’ve been building the quiet version for now.
What it’s meant to be
A digital photo frame, about ten inches, sitting on a shelf or a desk.
The difference is what’s on it. Send it a photo of yourself, or someone you love, and it becomes a portrait that moves. An app to set it up and change what’s on it. Presets included, if you’d rather start there.
The demo above runs a limited set — there’s only so much I can show on a web page. But the library is growing, and the playback logic I’m building aims for something that feels random and alive rather than some repetitive loop.
Development
I’ve spent the last year and a half building this alone — the software is largely there. What you just tried is real, and it works.
The frame itself isn’t a product yet. I’m working with a fabricator on a first working prototype, and I’m still at it most days.
